Russian River Valley produces some of the most unique and sought after chardonnays ever produced. The Allen Wines line of Chardonnay is unfiltered and aged in 100% new French Oak and has the distinct Russian River Valley flavor profile.

Daphne’s Vineyard 100% Chardonnay is intense and complex yet light on the palate with citrus, peach, and tropical flavors. Lively acidity complements a fine array of citrus and melon notes on the mouthwatering finish. Aged in new and neutral French Oak for 15 months. Produced and handcrafted by Laura Allen and Winemaker Chris Taddei.

Allen Wines Chardonnay is 100% single vineyard and single varietal produced from grapes grown in the Russian River Valley. This wine is crisp and well balanced and is aged in all new French Oak for 15 months. Allen Wines Chardonnay is unfiltered and exhibits luscious notes of apples, pears, and a hint of vanilla. The 2013 growing season allowed extended hang time allowing us to develop the flavors of Allen Wines Chadonnay to their fullest potential in this unique and elegant Chardonnay. Produced and handcrafted by Laura Allen and Winemaker Chris Taddei.

The Allen Wines Chardonnay vineyard sits in the heart of the Russian River Valley on Vine Hill Road. This beautiful and unique area is home to many of the best chardonnay producers that have ever been. This vineyard lends itself to a more elegant flavor with complex undertones. The soil and weather in the Russian River Valley is optimum for producing world-class chardonnay. This vineyard produces well-developed flavors with balanced acidity making for a beautiful and yet approachable wine.

Harvest Notes:

The 2013 season was one of the best on record with consistent steady weather yielding very clean fruit with well-developed flavors. The 2013 growing season was not marked with any major spikes or temperature swings and the result was a harvest that was perfectly timed with fantastic flavors.
